What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

Being a stage 4 cancer survivor, my perspective and priorities in life changed dramatically. The journey of 2 ½ years of chemo and 18 rounds of radiation led me to put God first in my life, with all worldly concerns falling to less significance. During this time, God put it on my heart, as a teacher, to write a book in defense of His creation and to dismantle evolution with science-based facts. It’s profoundly sad if people don’t know their loving Creator, while clinging to the godless religion of evolution.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

This is a fact based book that will astonish both people of faith and anyone else that is willing to be open-minded. This book will give people of faith concrete, science-based tools to defend their faith, but more importantly, will open the eyes of others to the possibility of creation and a chance to know their Creator. Either way, the science-based facts will blow away any previously held beliefs in evolution.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

My greatest hope is that people, who do not have a profession of faith, come to the realization that modern science doesn’t support evolution. I think most open-minded people seek truth, so hopefully I will connect with those people, and yes, eventually lead them to know their Creator.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

If you have something on your heart that you want to share with the world, just do it! If you are authentic and passionate, then your story needs to be shared. I was expecting that I may face a lot of rejection, but I was pleasantly surprised by the great amount of support and encouragement I received.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

The writing process is extremely time intensive, so your long term schedule needs to be as clear as possible. I was a teacher and started writing in the middle of a school year, so I learned the hard way!

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

As per the ultimate purpose of my book, everyone needs to know and have a relationship with their Creator. I don’t want anyone not to know the joy, love, peace, and purpose that knowing their Creator brings.
